Maryland Wine Month 2023

maryland wine month

March is Maryland Wine Month! “Maryland Wine Month is a month-long celebration of the state’s growing wine industry. Wine lovers throughout the state are encouraged to plan winery visits and enjoy locally made wine throughout March” as stated by the Maryland Wine Association.

We are proud to have helped develop and build Maryland’s wine industry. Since our founding in 1972, we have been committed to our community, our wine, and our family. Below we highlight some of our history and our commitment to being a sustainable vineyard.

The History of our Maryland Wine

Here at Linganore, you get to experience the excellence of over 45 years of winemaking! Take a journey through time, as you explore the history of Linganore Winecellars, founded in 1972 by a small vineyard planted in the rolling hills of an old dairy farm. Now operated by the founder’s children, we invite you to share our growing family tradition! Learn more.

Then & Now

A lot has changed over the years, and also not a lot has changed over the years. Since 1972, our family has been crafting wines of distinction and quality. Our commitment to excellence remains the same, even after all this time. With Linganore wine, you can taste this tradition in every sip!

Sustainability

Sustainability has been a driving factor in later years, and we have moved to more mindful ways of operating! Our staff is also knowledgeable of our environmental impact, and works to excel in our sustainability goals. We pride ourselves in the amount of recycling and renewables we use and will continue to encourage our staff to continue to accelerate any sustainability growth. Learn more.

Help us celebrate by joining us for Signature Tours, Estate Tours, at one of our Fire Tables, or from the comfort of your home. Enjoy award-winning wines produced in our fertile soils and abundant sunshine during Maryland Wine Month!
