Linganore Winecellars received a total of eleven medals and two “Best In Class” designations at the 2020 Maryland Wine Governor’s Cup Competition. The 32nd annual event featured 160 wines, some made from new-to-Maryland varieties, like Malbec, Saperavi, and Chenin Blanc.

Brut Albariño 2019
Brut Albariño releases elegant notes of pear, apricot, and grapefruit with each bubble in the slightly sparkling wine. A light, rounded midpalate melds smoothly into a crisp and balanced finish.
Seventh Rosé 2020
Fresh notes of strawberries, raspberries, and Honeycrisp apples ends with a balanced crispness.

Although native to the country of Georgia, we have found that Saperavi grows lusciously on our fertile soils in central Maryland. This medium-bodied wine is rich in aromas of the darkest blueberries, vibrant blackberries, and subtle vanilla notes ending with a smooth finish.

Cabernet Franc 2019
Bright fruit and spices with a soft entry and midpalate. Medium bodied. Aged in French oak barrels for 10 months, this complex wine has nuances of toast, black cherry, and red licorice. A round mouthfeel ends with an enjoyable robust finish.

Chardonnay Reserve 2019
Full bodied wine that is rich, creamy, and buttery with an aromatic balance of fruit and oak. Fermented in oak, then aged six months in French oak.

Silver
Albariño 2020
A bright floral nose mingles with notes of pear, peach and fresh apricot and ends with a round crispness.

Bacioni 2019
A light red blend of Chambourcin, Barbara, Merlot & Cabernet Franc. Berry nose gives way to a combination of red fruit, white pepper, and oak with floral notes.

Terrapin 2019
Elegant ripe melon nose creates a lovely medium bodied wine with just a touch of sweetness. Hints of honeysuckle and green apple combine to make the perfect wine for any occasion.

Vignoles 2019

Linganore Winecellars has a variety of Tasting and Tour experiences to choose from. One of our experienced wine educators will walk you through an in-depth tour of our state of the art winery. You will then be seated in a private area where you can sample a selection of our wines and choice of charcuterie accompaniments.
We have multiple seating options at the winery to choose from. Our Abisso Hall is a large indoor space with adequate social distancing, and our Bacioni Room has space for groups smaller than 10.
If you prefer to be outdoors, our heated pavilion, is partially enclosed and warm.
Reserve a fire pit on our lawn and bring your own chairs to surround it, then sip on wine, listen to music and relax. Wine tastings are not included in a fire pit reservation.
We will have Music and Food Trucks every weekend at the winery starting March 6th. Check our Facebook or events page for more info.
