These glasses are hand blown replicas of the type used for drinking Mead throughout the Viking and Celtic regions of Northern Europe. The original was found in Birka Sweden, the Vikings major trading post to the East, and is believed to have originated in the late 7th Century.
The glasses have no base, to reduce the risk likelihood of poisoning (ie: you can only set them down empty).
