Love is in the air as Linganore Winecellars celebrates its 19th annual Valentine celebration, ‘Cask to Kisses.’ Some say it can’t be done, pairing wine with chocolate, but if you have the right wine to complement the right chocolate it can be a match made in heaven! Throughout the month of February, patrons are invited to join Linganore and four celebrated chocolatiers in sampling perfectly matched wines and chocolates. Linganore’s Cabernet Sauvignon or Linganore’s
newly released Estate wines, 2007 Red Skins Block D and 2006
Chambourcin will be paired with seven decadent chocolates.

Chocolates of Oakland, New Jersey will
provide Perugina’s Italian chocolates. Perugina’s
most famous chocolate is the Baci, which means “kisses” in
Italian. Each Baci—rich dark chocolate with roasted
whole and chopped hazelnuts—will be wrapped in
a sweet love note and paired with several red wines
including Linganore’s Estate Bottled Bacioni
(Bah-che-o-nee) - “a big kiss” - a luscious
red complemented with a hint of fruit and oak. Together,
they are the true expression of romance.
